Hans Bellmer's photographs of his Doll sculptures have really interested me this term. Beginning as a way of documentation, the photographs eventually became as important as the sculptures. Within my own work photography has become more important, primarily because of the blurb book project however I have began to use photography as a way to represent my sculptures in a way that I struggle to represent them within my studio. Photography allows me to give each sculpture it's intended space, I can decide whether to include them as pieces together or let them work on their own. I wouldn't say that in my own work the photographs would become as important as the sculptures.
