Helen Sobiralski is primarily a fashion photographer however i found her series "Teint" particularly interesting and relevant to my current project. In this series Sobiralski focuses on human form and bodies interacting with eachother, through the use of nylon tights to partially cover the figures they become merged with one another to create one continuous being. The way the tights can manipulate this image to create these imaginative creatures is something I have found interesting through Sobiralski's work. I also find the use of line throughout the series is particularly effective, with the tights appearing to stretch the figures apart or to hold them up. The plain white background helps to focus on the beings, this combined with the delicate tones of the tights and intense and shadows gives Sobiralski's work almost a dream-like effect.
