I find Julia Bornefeld's work to be interesting because of the use of the body as subject matter and the materials used to represent this. For my project it has been useful to look to Bornefeld's work as a reminder that the body can be the subject matter without using the entire form within a piece. For Morphic Fields Bournefeld bounds her work. The act of bounding a piece of work can convey a variety of themes, I have used this technique within my work however it was to create a more secure structure rather than trying to convey themes.
