"To me each work is a character, someone I know. When I know who they are I know they’re finished.” (Mansfield 2014) While making sculptures I often feel as though they are becoming human and I am almost like Frankenstein creating monsters, I can relate to the idea that Sarah Lucas gives personalities to her work because this is something that happens within my own work. When a piece is finished I feel as though it is another being sitting in the room with me.
