Using the head shape mentioned in Updated Stitched Heads, I originally decided to create this piece to experiment with a material "skin" for the object that wasn't permanent so that I could continue experimenting with the head shape as a basis for further work. I chose to return to using nylon tights as I have found this material to be versatile and easy to manipulate in different ways. The had shape was made up of simply a head with a nose, I had covered the form in masking tape to make it firmer. When stretching the tights the creases made from the masking tape were visible but I thought that this made the piece more interesting. When hanging this piece in a critique I stretched the legs of the tights to exaggerate the shape of the head.
