For the critique I included a range of work, Carrot Top was a further completed version of the orange legs I had displayed earlier in the year. I also included Smothered, the doll that explored proportions, the stitched hand and the suitcase that I regularly used to transport the work. I found it liberating to work outside of my normal studio space, and I felt the change in environment pushed me to explore new ways to display my work. I want to expand on this in my studio space.
The feedback from the critique was that the piece Smothered was the most successful as it was the most interesting, the comments were that it was "intriguing" and "mysterious" and conveyed themes of misery and fear. It was mentioned that the piece may have more of an impact if there were more of them, perhaps connected like a net.
