I really didn't enjoy this piece of work, I was trying to translate the bright colours I had used in previous paintings into sculpture by painting directly onto the mannequin. I found the process of painting laborious and I struggled to finish the piece, I think that in comparison to creating a sculpture from scratch, painting onto a preexisting figure made the piece feel as though it wasn't mine. I think this has pushed me to delve further into sculpture and I believe the piece to have been successful because it has allowed me to understand what techniques and methods I prefer to use within sculpture.
